From COP29 - Water Solutions for Climate Positive Actions

The official Water Action Event from the Marrakech Partnership on Global Climate Action (MPGCA) at COP29 took place on 19 November 2024. Organized by SIWI, AGWA, INBO, and IWMI, this session showcased water-inspired climate solutions and actions across the globe, with a special emphasis on the leadership of youth, women, and local and indigenous communities. In the session, speakers demonstrate tangible water solutions that enable progress on the 2030 Climate Solutions and the High Level Champions’ priorities and aim to inspire more ambitious water action to be taken by all sectors and by a wide range of stakeholders. The event included key initiatives aiming to bolster resilience, boost nature-based solutions funding and calling for more ambition and action from non-State actors.
